  • DEFACTO WON 5 AWARDS FOR ITS PROJECTS DEVELOPED IN THE FIELD OF IT

IT projects implemented by DeFacto continue to win awards. At the IDC Turkey CIO Awards, the Smart Shipping project was awarded first prize in the 'IT Cost Efficiency' category and the Marketplace Product Content Management project was awarded first prize in the 'Business Opportunities' category.

DeFacto won first place in the categories of 'IT Cost Efficiency' with its Smart Shipping project and Business Enablement with Marketplace Product Content Management at the IDC Turkey CIO Awards, where technology leaders are awarded according to the digital transformation projects realized in their companies. The Company ranked third in the 'Customer Experience' category with its Come and Collect from the Nearest Store project. The Regional Collection and Automatic Sorting Device Integration project won third place in the 'IT Cost Efficiency' category. Thus, four projects won a total of 5 awards.

The following information was given about the projects and the awards received:

More agile decision-making with Smart Dispatch

The Smart Dispatch project was honored with first prize and third prize in one category at the IDC Turkey CIO Awards. Smart Dispatch won first prize in the 'IT Cost Effectiveness' category and third prize in the 'Future of Work - Work Opportunities' category. Smart Dispatch enables stores to manage their stocks, capacity and occupancy, especially during seasonal transitions, in the best way possible, by strengthening their decision support systems with artificial intelligence, while automatically creating and approving shipments. The company, which has a more profitable and faster structure with this system, thus received its 4th award in 3 different award ceremonies this year with the Smart Dispatch Project.

Marketplace product content is easier to prepare

Marketplace Product Content Management, another project developed by DeFacto IT team, won the first prize in the 'Business Opportunities' category of IDC Turkey CIO Awards and received its 2nd award in 2 award ceremonies this year. With the project, users can now prepare a list that they used to prepare in about 10 days in a maximum of 1 hour, saving both cost and time. The Regional Picking and Automatic Sorting Device Integration project won third place in the 'IT Cost Efficiency' category. Within the scope of the project, users in the warehouse are assigned picking tasks to pick a specific region, rather than on an order basis. In this method, when picking, users proceed by picking the products of all orders that need to be picked on the walkway instead of picking a specific order.

With this project, customers can select the nearest store and place a quick order among the products in the store through the website. The customer can then go to the store where the order was placed and pick up the products on the same day. At the same time, it is also ensured that the products ordered from the ordered store are delivered to the customer within 24 hours by courier.

Tayfun Tunç and Semih Bahar, who received the awards on behalf of DeFacto CIO Cengiz Gürer at the event held online on April 8 due to the Covid-19 outbreak, talked about the development process of the projects and their contributions to the company. They also emphasized that crowning the company's breakthroughs in becoming a technological retail company with awards encouraged them in their future strategies.
