Our Laboratories

We continue our work under the motto of sensitivity. We established our Physical Test Laboratory in 2014 and Analytical Test Laboratory in 2015.

DeFacto laboratories have received the approval of conformity with the standards of the European Accreditation Union as a result of the examination carried out in the field of testing, analysis and calibration by TÜRKAK, which has signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MLA TÜRKAK) with the European Accreditation Association (EA) in all areas in which it operates.This certificate has both national and international validity as a reliable indicator of technical competence, and also demonstrates DeFacto's sense of responsibility towards its customers and business partners.2016 As a result of the audit carried out in our laboratories by the TÜRKAK institution in February, our Analytical Laboratory and our Physics Laboratory with our expanded scope in physical tests were entitled to become accredited laboratories within the scope of ISO IEC 17025 Standard.

Physical Security Tests

Due to our sensitivity in the safety of our Baby and Children's products, the safety tests specified in the relevant regulation are followed for these product groups.Flammability Safety: Within the scope of the relevant regulation for baby and children's clothing, the compliance of all our products (nightgowns, pajamas, bathrobes and dressing gowns, etc.) with the flammability directives is checked by following the TS EN ISO 14878 reference test standard.

Infant-Child Clothing Safety: Clothing for infants and children is checked to ensure that it is robust and does not contain small parts at risk of snagging, choking or swallowing Reference standards used for this purpose;

  • TS EN 14682 Safety in children's clothing - Properties of cords and drawstrings used in children's clothing
  • BS 7907 Safe children's clothing (risks of asphyxiation from swallowing accessories that are attempted to be torn off by hand or mouth and checking sharp edge, pointed metal accessories for scratches and cuts)

Analytical (Ecological Tests) Laboratory

Analytical (Ecological Tests) Laboratory is a laboratory where OEKO-TEX requirements, which are accepted all over the world and applied in more than 40 countries, are analyzed in textile products, harmful chemicals from the raw materials and production processes used, and products that pose a risk to human and environmental health are eliminated within DeFacto.Analyses performed in the laboratory increase our brand reliability by demonstrating the sensitivity we show to human health and nature. The Analytical Laboratory was established with an investment cost of approximately 2 million TL, and an average of 100 finished product analyses are performed daily with a technical team of 15 people. Analyses are carried out with the most advanced devices used in the testing sector and expert personnel competent to use these devices.

The Analytical Laboratory is accredited by the Turkish Accreditation Agency in 2016 within the scope of the 'TS EN ISO / IEC 17025:2012' standard.DeFacto established a fully equipped chemistry laboratory in 2014 in order to prevent the harmful effects of its products with its sensitivity to human health. In this laboratory, chemicals that are harmful or suspected to be harmful to human health, all of which have been identified through joint studies conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the OEKO-100 association, are tested.The tests conducted in the DeFacto laboratory have more comprehensive content than the tests that are mandatory for products imported into Turkey. In addition to local legislation, the results obtained in this laboratory, where tests are applied to meet global standards, are analyzed above the limits required by Turkey.This laboratory, where an investment of 2 million TL was made only in the installation phase, has the latest technological equipment among the examples both in Turkey and in the world.The team of chemists and chemical technicians is composed of experts with significant experience, each of whom has received the best training in their field.Our laboratories, which are established in the DeFacto headquarters building, ensure that mandatory sample tests in the sector are carried out in a safer environment and safer results are obtained. DeFacto laboratories are periodically audited by international organizations under the titles of "proficiency test, comparison test" for the components tested. The chemicals we use in the testing processes are collected in special barrels and delivered to ISTAÇ, an institution authorized by the Ministry of Environment, so that they are not harmful to the environment. Thus, all our chemical wastes are disposed of by special methods and reported to the Ministry.
